I just got done listening to Sheena's Valentine's Day Love cd for the first time tonight, and boy, is it a treat!!! So many good tracks.
It assures me of many things.
1. Sheena still enjoys a lot of Portland mid-90's rock ala Sleater Kinney and Quasi. There is even a track from Sleater Kinney that I don't think I have heard since high school when Sheena played it for me. I loved it then and still do now. Bravo!
2. I am ashamed for ever not liking Fleetwood Mac. I mean I REALLY used to hate them, and I have no idea what was wrong with me. Fleetwood Mac freaking rules and there is no doubt about it. I used to have this thing where I thought American rock music sucked compared to British rock music but I think it was a stupid high school thing that I had low standards and weird taste.
3. I need to get more Silver Jews music. I have thoroughly enjoyed every song I've heard from them them (him?) and have never actually gone and gotten the tunes. This will be remedied.
4. Last but not least, I need to make a cd for Sheena and possibly Devin now. It is my turn.
Do not fret my pet, I will have you a happening new mix cd before you know it!!
